When you are the most educated person at the table

Romans 8:1

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

When you are the most educated person at the table. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. You do not have to deny what is happening. Christianity is not pretending. The question is whether the circumstance gets to become lord over the meaning of your life. Your worth was not built by performance, approval, age, appearance, or achievement. Jesus Christ is the One who names you. You are allowed to slow down long enough to choose obedience instead of repetition.

What part of this situation belongs to you, and what part are you trying to carry for God?

Jesus, I do not want an old pattern making today's decision for me. Renew my mind, steady my emotions, and lead me in truth. You are Lord here too. Amen.
